Human serum protein solution
Composition: 1 ml solution contains: Protein 50 mg of which albumin approx. 31 mg and human immunoglobulin approx. 10 mg. Further constituents: Sodium chloride, water for injection.

Indications: Volume therapy, Hypoproteinaemia, Hypogammaglobulinaemia, Hypalbuminaemia, Prophylaxis of infectious diseases in case of antibody deficiency syndrome, Haemodilution.

Note: Biseko® is free of hemolysins and can therefore be administered regardless of blood group.

Contra- indications: Hypersensitivity to human proteins.

Special precautions for use: Certain severe adverse drug reactions may be related to the rate of infusion. The recommended infusion rate given under "Method of administration" must be closely followed and patients must be closely monitored and carefully observed for any symptoms throughout the infusion period . Patients should be observed for at least 20 minutes after administration.

Dosage instructions and duration of application:
Adults: up to 2000 ml per patient per day;
Children: 15 to 20 ml/kg body weight per day.

Interactions with medicinal products: Live attenuated vaccines; The  administration of biseko® May impair for a period af at least 6 weeks and up to 3 months the efficacy of live attenuated virus vaccines such as measles, rubella, mumps and varicella. Interference with serological testing: after administration of biseko® the transitory rise of the various passively transferred antibodies in the patients blood may result in positive results in serological testing. These result are based on the transferred antibodies (passive immunisation) and should possibly be taken into account by the physician.

biseko® is suitable for resuspending the erythrocyte concentrstes.

Method of administration: biseko® is intended for intravenous use. At the beginning of infusion, the rate of 20 drops per minute (corresponding to 1 ml per minute) must not be exceeded. After 10 minutes the rate of administration may gradually be increased to 3-4 ml per minute for the reminder of the infusion if well tolerated by the patient.

Special precautions for storage: biseko® has to be stored at +2 C to +8 C, protected from the light. Do not freeze.

Presentation: Ampoule with 20ml, infusion; bottle with 50 ml, infusion; bottle with 250 ml, infusion; bottle with 500 ml.
